Tigre Blanco presenteert nieuw geluid in ‘Radio Blanco’. Net zoals de witte tijger een zeldzame verschijning is in de natuur, wijkt het geluid van Tigre Blanco af van het muzikale landschap in de Lage Landen. Cajon, bas, gitaar en de mix van de jazzy vocalen van miss Kitty Kat met de rauwe stem van frontman Quintijn Lohman zorgen voor een niet te categoriseren mix van blues, rock en soul. Donker als de nacht en warm als smeulend vuur.

Radio Blanco
Een oude buizen radio, van de firma Radio Bell uit de jaren ’30 lag jaren lang te verstoffen in een oud theater en is door Tigre Blanco nieuw leven ingeblazen. Een nieuwe stekker en wat liefde en de radio kwam na jarenlange stilte weer krakend tot leven. Het maakt niet uit aan welke knoppen je draait, steeds hoor je hetzelfde programma met die ene stem en hij wil maar een ding, je ziel!

Voor Tigre Blanco is het al te laat. Ze zijn bezeten door de radio en zijn stem. Hij dirigeert de muziek, fluistert de teksten in en stuurt ze op een zweterige roadtrip. In ‘Radio Blanco’ het complete reisverslag. Met jullie als publiek op de stoel van de bijrijder.

Tigre Blanco is gypsy soul met een rauwe twist en doet denken aan de soundtrack van een film van regisseur Quentin Tarantino (‘what’s in a name’). De brede sound is zowel geschikt voor een nachtclub in Andalusië, een juke-joint in Calexico, een festival, een theater in een middelgrote stad of een intiem huisconcert. De habitat van de tijger kent geen grenzen.

Tigre Blanco is presenting a new sound in 'Radio Blanco'. Just like the white tiger is a rare occurrence in nature, the sound of Tigre Blanco differs from the musical landscape of the Low Lands. Cajon, bass, guitar and the mix of miss Kitty Kat's jazzy vocals and front man Quintijn Lohman's raw voice make for an undefinable mix of blues, rock and soul. Dark as the night and warm as a smoldering fire.

Radio Blanco
An old Radio Bell tube radio from the 1930s has been gathering dust in an old theater for years and has been brought back to life by Tigre Blanco. A new plug and some love and the radio came crackling back to life after years of silence. It doesn't matter which buttons you turn; you will always hear the same program with that one voice that only wants one thing, your soul!

For Tigre Blanco, it is already too late. They are possessed by the radio and its voice. It is directing the music, whispering the lyrics and is sending them on a sweaty road trip. In 'Radio Blanco', you will hear the complete travel log. With you, the audience, in the passenger seat.

Tigre Blanco is gypsy soul with a raw twist and is reminiscent of the soundtrack of a film by director Quentin Tarantino ('what's in a name'). The broad sound is suitable for a nightclub in Andalusia, a juke joint in Calexico, a festival, a theatre in a medium-sized town or an intimate house concert. The tiger's habitat has no boundaries.
